pucking around at the speed of sound
Sep. 9th, 2024 01:13 pmPeople in r/books said that Pucking Around is an awful book with an awful premise and that they'd all wished they'd never read this BookTok garbage... I'm on the third chapter right now and so far it's not...bad? It's not the greatest thing I've ever read but it's not the worst, it's got me intrigued enough so far to continue with it. I bought it to see how accurate the hockey would be, because it's basically hockey smut romance. We're not at the hockey part yet, so there's plenty of time for this to go ass up and make me say "no, nuh-uh, that's not how that works!" But so far? It's cute. There's plus size rep, sex positivity, and the main romance is a polycule (MFC/Hockey Player 1/Hockey Player 2/Equipment Manager for Hockey Team) and also the one guy has a dog so like. Can you really go wrong with something that has a dog in it?!
I didn't think so.
I bought the first two books because they were on sale for 52% off and 43% off respectively so instead of $20 the first one was $10. I need all the nice things in my life right now considering all of the bullshit I'm having to deal with to buy a fucking house. So yeah.
Of course iiiif the hockey ends up being really bad or other things go south everyone on Plurk will know about it (and then I can make a review for here too I guess) lmao.
