omaewokorosuSimply put, and this is just a "conspiracy theory" if you will, it's because they reused character designs used for other characters for the adult versions of the five pilots.
For example, a scrapped character design for Heero (before he was aged down to 15, he was around ~19) has been used for characters like Ralph Kurt (Blind Target), as a starting point for Odin Lowe (FT and GoL versions), and the OG Heero Yuy (FT)... The funny thing in Ralph's case is we get multiple flashbacks of him as a kid where he very obviously looks like Heero as a teenager...
But why can't we see the other pilots? Like okay we can see Heero (because he physically hasn't agedyet> due to his recent defrosting) but why not Duo or Trowa or Quatre or even Wufei?
Because they definitely reused the character designs from other people. That's why. Now there's nothing confirmed but this is my hunch...
Since Junior's whole life/backstory is more or less Duo's backstory we have adult Hilde (who we see) more or less dressed like Sister Helen (and tbh she kind of does resemble her face wise) and then we have Duo who goes by "Father Maxwell" whose face we're not allowed to see but from all other angles you can tell they stole the OG Father Maxwell's design.

That's not even the biggest problem I have with Frozen Teardrop lmao
