I have been working on this fic chapter off and on (mostly off) since 12 February of last year which, imo, is quite ridiculous but whatever. I wasn't able to figure out the direction I wanted to take things in and tbh I still am not. I may very well end up just scrapping this chapter and the whole "winter break" idea and just having them go back to school with maybe a mention or discussion at the beginning of that chapter of what went down.
I dunno. But it's just not coming together in the way that I want and I feel like I'm forcing it at this point and it's gonna end up being a shitty read and I'd rather not, you know, have that. I feel like this chapter is just an excuse for Marth to be in Seine for a hot second before ending up spending the holiday with Roy and his family in Pherae and really it's just so Marth and Roy can fuck. They're fucking and sometimes there are things that don't have to do with fucking. and that's real shit. so.
I can at some point always do a "lost chapters" thing if I still feel particularly broken up over it. but until then...I might just scrap this chapter and move on. back to the schooling, which should be the main focus anyway since this is a modern day high school AU.
